make this project work better for students in the future

what needs to change about this assignment is I think it should be explained better. When I didn't know what to do it was so confusing till I learned then it got better. What needs to stay the same is how the classes worked together.

Who would you recommend your choice book too?

I would recommend my choice book to anyone who likes fantasy. The types of readers that would like this book are people who like to get into a story and read a series. I made these recommendations because Harry Potter is a fantasy story about a wizard. Also It's a pretty long book and it's a 7 book series.

"The Road Not Taken" you think it means.

I think it means that there two paths and one of them has been more walked on more than the other. He "took the one less traveled by." It's saying in life you have to make a choice everyday but on some choices it can really make all the difference in what you're life can turn out to be. Sometimes the smallest thing we have to pick, can turn out to be a very important part in life.

how is the reserch going?

 I feel it was going okay, confusing at parts. The challenging is knowing where to look for the right research.  The easy part was writing down the research. What was helpful was Mr.Kahill taking us to the library. What wasn't was having to find everything and writing enough. I need more instruction in finding my topics.

what do you think you would include in your definition of justice

I think you can use hammurabi's code of laws to remember whats fair in life. Which it a lot what justice is about. touching spirit bear shows giving second chances can be  good thing. I feel like circle Justice is trusting someone with another chance. So in history and English i've learned things that i can add to my definition of justice.

Please explain the conflict of your choice book.

The conflict of my choice book is Doby comes to see Harry Potter and warn him that he shouldn't go back to hogwarts but wont tell him why. I think it will be resolved by Harry going anyway and fighting against whatever Doby was warning him about.

Do you like the main character in your choice book?

I like the main character in my book. He's smart and always has crazy ideas of whats going on or whats gonna happen next. He keeps you wanting to read more to find out whats happening. I like that hes a good person and always has his heart in the right place. I mean who could not like Harry Potter? (besides Hoy)

Do you think justice is being properly served to Mr. Koppler?

I think justice isn't really being serve. He was illegally sending hundreds of spiders to the United States. I don't think he has a bad enough punishment. The spiders could have been carrying tons of diseses which is so gross.

What questions do you have about this assignment?

I don't really have any questions about this assignments. I just don't really understand how we are going to do it with another class.

first paragraph in Of Mice of Men essay

The movie Of Mice and Men is based on a ranch in California during the Great depression. Where two men named George Milton and Lennie Smalls worked. George is intelligent and cynical. Lennie has immense strength but limited mental abilities. So together they work perfectly. The two of them struggle to survive, but with each other they by there side they can’t lose. The needs of each character by the other are Lennies strength, Georges knowledge, and each others will to be there for one another.

what topic did you pick?

I picked number 2. I chose this because it shows hows Lenny and George develop as characters and it is evident in the reading how they are against each other. However, they need each other in order to survive because "Lenny needs George and George needs Lenny". George said that he would look after Lenny and it's evident that he is going to keep his promise. Even though they fight a lot they have to stick together in order to survive and the economy has a lot to do with why they're staying with each other even though they fight a lot. They know that they need to ignore the fighting and stay together and survive the harsh times.

are George and Lennie best friends?

I think they are best friends. First George is always their when Lennie needs him, he's always by his side in a time of need. Also they have faith and believe in each others dreams. Lastly when Lennie was going to get killed George did it before they could. So In my opinion they are best friends.

how did you like the end of Of Mice and Men?

I think that the ending was very interesting because it was such a twist. I didn't see it coming. When Lennie ran away because he killed Curley's wife, he actually remembered where George told him to go. Then when Curley broke into the house and said what happened, George knew what he needed to do. He went to the spot and told Lennie the story about how they were going to buy a house and live there and prosper. then he shot him in the back of the head. It was very emotional because he didn't know how to react to it. So I liked the twist but it was sad.

How are you a great friend?

I'm a great friend because no matter what happens I will always be their for my friend. Through thick and thin I will always have there back! Also When they're sad i cheer them up, and try to make them laugh or smile. Thats why I'm a good friend.

Do you think Lennie is a burden on George?

I think George has to be more careful with Lennie, kinda of take care of him cause of his needs. I wouldn't call him a burden on him. Lennie has special needs so it might feel like that on Geoge but for the most part hes not.

whats you're favorite character we have read about and why?

My favorite character we have read about so far is Cole. I like him because he learns to change his ways by the and of the book. Although he wasn't the nicest person, hes till my favorite.

what are you being for halloween?

I'm being a football player for halloween. I picked to be this because I love football! Honsestly if i was a guy I would be palying right now. So thats pretty much why i picked it.

do you like Of Mice and Men?

So far Of Mice and Men isnt that bad, I need to wait till i really get into the story more then ill probably like it better. I read it late so I don't remember the first chapter that well. But after school i'll re-read it. Right now id say its okay.

what makes a great friend

A great friend is someone who is always their for you through thick and thin. Someone that never lets you down and is an honest person. A friend and you will fight but get over it within the next hour. They will always be the one standing by you're side when you're down. They keep all you're secrets and you can trust them with you're life. Lastly they can always cheer me up or make me laugh no matter what mood I'm in. That's what a great friend is to me.

Essay

The thing I'm not comfortable about is writing it the right way. I don't want to do it all wrong then end up having a bad grade on the essay and in the class. I'm comfortable about what to write about though. I have an idea. I'm hoping to do well on this essay!

Did you like tsb

I really enjoyed touching spirit bear. I liked it because it was an interesting read for me. I was very engrossed in the book. I also liked how it was teaching you a moral as you read, and cole was learning and changed. In the end it was a great book.

Injustice

A 17 year old guy named Wilson, had consensual oral sex with a girl who was 15. He was convicted of aggravated child molestation and then sentenced to 10 years in prison. Justice wasn't served because at the same time that Wilson was being sentenced to 10 years in prison, down the hall in the courthouse a 27 year old teacher was being put on probation, for 90 days in jail, not prison. For having sexual intercourse with one of her 16 year old students. That is not fair because Wilson has to face worse charges than the teacher does, and what the teacher did was even worse. My research method was I typed injustice case into google (I know not a lot of effort but it worked!)

She shouldnt face death

I don't think Teresa Lewis should face death. First she said she was sorry for the whole thing and says she regrets it very much. Second killing shouldn't be the answer for anything, put her in jail. Lastly she might be mentally retarted. In the end she should not be killed.

how do you deal with anger

I deal with anger by exercising, which releases stress. It makes me less angry and makes me think about why I was angry in the first place. Plus it's really good to exercise anyway so it's win win situation. Also sometimes I scream and that makes me feel better, I don't know why though it just does.

Coles 2nd time at the island

I think it's good for Cole to go back to the island because he will start to change even more again. At first it might be hard but he'll get used to it, and I know he'll change his ways sooner or later. Going back to the island again is awesome for him. I'm glad thats what he's doing.

should Maine change the driving age to 18?

I think Maine should change the driving age to 18. First because they're are so many accidents of younger age driving these days. It would help with that problem if they could get the drivers age to be 18. Also it would be easier cause you wouldn't have to wait for your 6 mouths to be up for you to drive people. In conclusion the driving age should be 18.

Favorite Rainy Day Activity

My favorite rainy day activity is just hanging around the house with friends. Things we do are watch movies, eat food, go on the computer, and sit around and chat. I love rainy days they're a great time to just relax or catch up on things like homework or cleaning even though those aren't my favorite things to do. But having a rainy day here in there is good.

school punishment

The kid who was responsible for the damage, his punishment should be 100 hours of community service, Or enough to pay back all the repairs that the school now has to pay for. He should have to earn the money and pay the school back. Its whats fair since he did the damage also he needs to say sorry to the school meaning students and staff.

How to be a better citzen at SPHS?

I can be a better citizen at SPHS by joining interact(which i did) and trying to help out when ever help is needed. Ill try to never be mean and greet everyone with a smile. I will always try to have a positive attitude. When ever a student is struggling in class I will help them up. When a teacher needs a volunteer i will raise my hand high. In conclusion to be a better citizen I will by helping out with my school.

I know that justice is whats fair in life. For example following the law. Even though it's not always fair, everyone has to follow them.

school uniform

I think SPHS should have school uniforms. For one they would make school easier in the morning because students don't have to worry about what their going to wear. Another reason is no one could make fun of each other for wearing different clothes, everyone would be wearing the same thing. Also it would save money so people wouldn't have to go school shopping. lastly SPHS should have school uniforms.
